The most important “W” not mentioned with the five W’s

Water. No matter the day, no matter the hour we all use water in our daily lives. But what if I told you some people didn’t have the clean water that we take for granted. They exist and we have the resources to solve clean water issues. This goal should matter to everyone as we all use clean water but we should work to make sure others have access. I will be Writing about UN goal number 6; the clean water and sanitation goal.

Why does this goal matter?

The United Nations have set targets for humanity to fulfill that satisfy the needs of the many. The UN’s clean water and sanitation goal aim to get clean water to the millions of people who need it. Clean water should be the main topic of this goal. First, catching illnesses can be prevented with clean water and proper hand-washing. Second according to the UN there are thousands of deaths linked to drinking polluted or unfiltered water that can be prevented if given access to clean water. understanding where the biggest impact can be made is the best way to start to solve this problem. understanding this problem will not only be beneficial from a humanitarian standpoint but investing in this new market may give way to a new industry that is focused on creating clean water solutions rather than simply creating more waste. This new market may also produce new technologies that can aid in delivering clean water to those who need it.

Benefits of introducing business aspects to this goal:

Creation of new markets that are focused on water treatment and providing entrepreneurs and business leaders with vital information could be a way we get more clean water to more people. This new market will emerge as one that is dedicated to cleaning up oceans and providing more sources of clean water to everyone. There may also be new companies whose sole purpose will be to reverse the damage caused by fracking. some of these companies already exist and with their help, other companies could soon start to provide clean water to those who need it.

Summary

I know that clean water is important to everyone but, it is even more of a fight for those who have faced fracking head-on. From what I know about fracking, it causes problems for any nearby ecosystem and anyone unfortunate enough to live in the nearby area. With clear goals in mind, I think we have a shot at making clean water available to everyone. I have a few questions that I would like to pose. How much do you value clean water? Why aren’t we talking about this more? Could there be a new market for clean water? Can we achieve these goals by 2030?
